Cork-based alt-rock outfit Bowden make a thunderous return with 'Undertow'. Following national radio acclaim for their previous track 'Be Your Own God', the band dives deeper into emotional intensity with a song that explores the moment a relationship begins to break apart under its own weight.
Simmering with haunting vocals, swirling instrumentation, and Bowden’s signature melodic grit, 'Undertow' captures the internal conflict between holding on and letting go. It’s a song about drowning in the truth and discovering what remains once the chaos subsides.
“In the end, it’s not just about letting go,” the band explains. “It’s about surviving the pull and finding out what’s left on the other side.”
'Undertow' also marks the announcement of Bowden’s debut album 'Glacier', set to release on the 9th May. Produced by Christian Best (Mick Flannery, O Emperor), and featuring contributions from Matthew Berrill (saxophone) and Dylan Howe (trumpet), the record promises to be a defining moment for the rising Irish group who are poised to make waves well beyond their roots.
