With almost a decade's worth of material and more than a thousand live shows under his belt, Canadian artist Caleb Hart has established himself as one of the more innovative names doing the rounds. Taking cues from his Tobagan heritage and blending it with vibrant production across his bustling catalogue to date, he has earned a reputation for rich and enchanting grooves with everything he does. And with a flurry of new releases under his belt recently, he is back once again to deliver his eagerly-awaited EP 'Emancipation', a collection beaming with warmth and allure throughout.
Keeping very much in the same uplifting vein he has always looked to explore, 'Emancipation' makes for an incredibly fun and enjoyable listen. With his laid-back vocal style perfectly elevated across this Caribbean-infused aesthetic from start to finish, he returns with some of his more immersive efforts to date here. Whether he is honing a hip-shaking rhythm or something more tender, Caleb Hart always maintains a captivating direction in which to take this EP in.
It has certainly been an impactful time for him recently, but 'Emancipation' shows there is still plenty of creative spirit coursing through him right now. Brimming with a vibrancy across all seven tracks, he remains a stalwart figure on today's new music scene.
