Cormac Liotta - 'I Bought A New Pedal.'

Ever since he first emerged, LA-based artist Cormac Liotta has always been one to pursue a less conventional path than most. Taking influence from the hazy 90s indie-rock sound, his tenure so far has been littered with plenty of fresh and infectious delights. And with the buzz still continuing to build around him, he returns with his breezy new EP 'I Bought A New Pedal.', a collection that continues those innovative ideals once again.

As the title suggests, 'I Bought A New Pedal.' was inspired by a new piece of equipment he purchased after relocating to Hollywood. And while the three-track EP clocks in at less than three minutes in total, Liotta still manages to pack plenty of fun and lively surprises into it. Brimming with broad and emotive aesthetics at every turn, he returns with some of his most endearing cuts to date.

While 'I Bought A New Pedal.' does come across as more of a snapshot of ideas rather than fully fleshed out releases, it proves that he is still brimming with plenty of exciting concepts in which to develop. Adventurous and catchy throughout, he builds upon his illustrious foundation with style and aplomb here.
