GET TO KNOW: InBetween Honey

Having already made a solid impact with a run of immersive singles these last few years, Irish outfit InBetween Honey return once again with their uplifting new single 'it's alright'.

Keeping the vibes high from start to finish, 'it's alright' continues that bright and lofty indie-rock appeal they have been growing recently. So we sat down with them to discuss their origins and influences over the years.

What was the first band or artist you fell in love with?

The First band I fell in love with would be AC/DC through my dad. Who doesn’t love these Australian powerhouses? (JohnPaul)

Did you ever form a band when you were younger and if so, what did they sound like?

Myself, Matty & Dylan started our first band and have continued on ever since. That band ten years ago were incredibly poppy.

What has been your primary inspiration in writing music?

Real life things that have happened to members of the band and putting the words to it.

What is a song you wish you had written yourself?

Little By Little by Oasis. I think the song-writing by Noel on this one is him at his very best. Contains one of my favourite lines in any song ever. “True Perfection has to be imperfect, I know that, that sounds foolish but it's true” (JohnPaul)

If there was any moment in your career you could relive, what would it be?

Two, the buzz of supporting Irish legends Aslan the first time round and walking onstage at The Dublin Castle, Camden back in February.

Which artist would you most love to share a stage with?

The original Oasis line up.

And is there an artist you would love to collaborate with as well?

I would love to collaborate with anyone from the Madchester & Britpop scenes. In-particularly, the Gallaghers, Ian Brown & John Squire and lastly Johnny Marr.

Where do you see yourself in five years time?

Still releasing music & performing in every venue we can possibly around Ireland and the world.
