Following on from a string of impactful efforts this past year, London-based South African rapper Index Dex is back on the grind once again to deliver his pulsing new single 'Plan'.
Bringing back more of that bold and infectious hip-hop aesthetic he is known for, 'Plan' makes for an incredibly raw and driven listen. With his killer flow layered across bouncing beats from start to finish, he is continuing to cement himself as one of the more exciting names on the rise right now.
So with the new single available to stream now, we sat down with him to find out more about his origins and what has been inspiring him most lately.
What was the first band or artist you fell in love with?
Prodigy from Mobb Deep
Did you ever form a band when you were younger and if so, what did they sound like?
Yes, I had a three piece band. Guitarist, bass player and a Drummer. It was rap but with a rock twist.
What has been your primary inspiration in writing music?
That would be hands down my personal experiences, perhaps I have a deep rooted need to be understood.

If there was any moment in your career you could relive, what would it be?
Performing at Lovebox.
Which artist would you most love to share a stage with?
Alex Isley. Love collaborating with RnB artists that have incredible melodies.
