After breaking through with her brilliant debut single 'We Belong Together' earlier this year, fast-rising artist Lady Da Flame is back once again to deliver her uplifting new single 'Push'.
Bringing back more of that bright and shimmering aesthetic she is quickly earning a reputation for, 'Push' makes for a vibrant return to form. With her soulful vocals spread across a euphoric production throughout, she continues to shine as one of the more alluring names doing the rounds right now.
So with the new single available to stream now, we sat down with her to find out more about her origins and influences over the years.
What was the first band or artist you fell in love with?
The first artist in music that I fell in love with their sound and style of music was Whitney Houston.
Did you ever form a band when you were younger and if so, what did they sound like?
No, I did not form a band but I grew up in church so I was a part of the choir. We sounded good at our age.
What has been your primary inspiration in writing music?
My primary inspiration has always been life itself. I write a lot from my personal experiences or from things that I see happen around me.
What is a song you wish you had written yourself?
I have never thought of that. I appreciate the work and creativity of other writers before me and even today. I don't think I have wanted to write a song from anyone else.
If there was any moment in your career you could relive, what would it be?
That's a very good question, I would love to relive it when I went to the Cayman Islands and performed.
Which artist would you most love to share a stage with?
I would love to share a stage with many artists, but since I have to choose I would say Adele.
And is there an artist you would love to collaborate with as well?
There are many because I am multi-genre. I would love to collaborate with Burna Boy, Neyo, Adelle, Beres Hammond, and Busy Signal just to name a few.
Where do you see yourself in five years time?
I see myself performing all over the world full time sharing my music in front of large crowds.
