Renowned singer-songwriter Lucy Dacus has unveiled her eagerly awaited fourth studio album, Forever Is a Feeling, scheduled for release on March 28th under Polydor Label Group. The album features an extraordinary lineup of collaborators, including Hozier, Phoebe Bridgers, Julien Baker, Blake Mills, Bartees Strange, Madison Cunningham, Collin Pastore, Jake Finch, and Melina Duterte.

In tandem with the album announcement, Dacus has shared two new songs, Limerence and Ankles. The latter is accompanied by a visually striking music video set in Paris, with a special appearance by Havana Rose Liu. These tracks mark Dacus’s first solo releases since boygenius garnered widespread acclaim, winning three GRAMMYs and a BRIT Award for their celebrated 2024 album the record.

Forever Is a Feeling signifies a departure from the themes of her previous album, Home Video, which focused on childhood and formative years. This upcoming project delves deeply into the complexities of adult relationships, charting the emotional landscape of love, heartbreak, and healing. Written between autumn 2022 and summer 2024, the album captures the highs and lows of Dacus’s personal experiences with intimacy and change.

“I was overwhelmed by emotions,” Dacus reveals. “I fell in love, fell out of love. Sometimes, destruction is necessary for creation. And in the process, I dismantled a life that was once incredibly beautiful.”
