Repeat - 'Rat Race'

Writer: The Real DingThe Real Ding

When Swedish trio Repeat released their brilliant self-titled debut album in October last year, it cemented them as one of the more exciting names on the rise. Coupling fast and frantic energy with some brilliantly engaging hooks throughout, their place on the scene has been established with style and finesse at every turn. And now they are back to do it all again with their sophomore LP 'Rat Race', a record that continues those same vibrant ideals.

Much like what their initial collection showcased, 'Rat Race' is another hard and driven dive into their most anthemic pursuits yet. Taking influence from the 90s SoCal skate-punk sound and reviving it with a modern and more Scandinavian appeal throughout, their latest offering marks another shining example of their explosive nature so far. Fans of Bad Religion and Pennywise will be lapping this one up, especially the record's opening 'Man On The Moon' and the ferocious 'Not Enough'.

While they have barely been with us a year right now, Repeat are alraedy producing the kind of anthems it takes many other names years to refine. With this bold and tenacious energy flowing throughout, they continue their rise as one of the more captivating names doing the rounds right now.
